5th February 2025

Chief Executive Officer

February 1st, 2025, marked a significant milestone for Baywater Healthcare as we mobilised our Home Oxygen Service across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk for the first time whilst also commencing a new clinical rehabilitation service in Newcastle Upon Tyne on behalf of the NHS.

Expanding to a new region

We are thrilled to extend our services to a new region, where we will be supporting 10,000 active patients. This expansion involved a comprehensive and well-structured mobilisation plan over the next nine months. As part of this initiative, we are excited to welcome 40 new employees who will be working across four new distribution centres. Additionally, we have trained 300 clinicians to ensure the highest standards of care.

This project has been achieved through detailed collaboration with the NHS and the outgoing provider, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care. The contract is set for an initial period of seven years, reflecting our long-term commitment to the community.

Enhancing Respiratory Services in the North East

Our second contract focuses on delivering a clinical respiratory rehabilitation service in the North East to support patient mobility and independence. This new service will support our existing clinical assessment and referral service, which we have successfully operated since 2023. With this addition, Baywater Healthcare now holds over 50% of the respiratory service market in England and Wales, employing over 500 people across 15 sites and serving more than 60,000 patients.

A Team Effort

These new contracts represent a huge team effort and a significant step forward for Baywater. I am incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and the strong partnerships we have built with the NHS. Together, we are making a positive impact on the healthcare landscape in the UK.
